1. The first step to making this animation is to create a new 500x500 pixel document.
2. Now that we have created the document, were going to want to bring up the animations window by going to Window > Animation.
3. Now that we have the animation window open go ahead and make a couple new layers in it. These layers represent each "frame" of animation that you are going to have.
4. Now were going to want to create a few layers on the regular photoshop document. Go ahead and draw/create what you want your animation to be. Remember, animations in photoshop are all about layering and visibility.
5. Animations in photoshop are created by hiding certain layers in each frame on the animations layer. For instance, if you want something to be visible on the first 5 layers, make sure the visibility for that layer is "on". Then when you want it to disappear, simply turn the visibility "off" for that layer.
Your animation window should look something like this now, and should have around 30-50 frames. Depending on what your animation is.
6. Now that we have what we want to animate, go ahead and click on each animation frame one by one and move your objects on your layers to where you want them, and turn the visibility either on or off.
7. The next step in creating your animation is to choose how long each "frame" is going to stay on screen for. You can choose this by clicking the arrow on the animation layer.
8. You should now have your animation completed! The next step is to export animation as a GIF file.
File > Save for Web & Devices
Once that window is up you want to make sure that GIF is selected, then press "save"
9. The last step now is to drag your new saved file onto your web browser and watch your masterpiece!
